I really enjoyed the schwarma. I now know what tony stark was talking about, lol. I also had the lemon rice soup, which was very nice, and had nice sized chunks of meat in it. All in all a very pleasant experience

Delish! Very satisfied with the taste, amount and price of selections here. We can't wait to go back and try more! Worth a stop if you live in the area.

This place was surprisingly good. I had the gyro combo with fries and a drink for 6.50. The gyro meat was tasty and moist, and fries seasoned. My hubby got the falafel wrap and it was delicious too! My pita chips were a little stale but still tasty. The tabouli was great! My friend ordered the pk salad with grilled chicken and it would have been a good light option. If on a diet, choose this! I will be back if I am near by, the owner seemed like a really kind person.

I had falafel sandwiches when they had a special. They were huge, filling and tasted amazing!!!

I usually order the gyro special and it is always good. My wife has gotten a few other items and really likes them. Hummus is very good with soft pita. Small place in plaza but usually have tables open. They do take out to.

Service here is very good and Apollo Beach needed a Mediterranean restaurant. I have been there probably 4 to 5 times and I get the Greek salad with Gyro and the meat pie. The salad is very good. It has plenty of veggies and it's really fresh and green. I know that sounds odd, but I really hate when restaurants bring me a salad with white or wilted lettuce. I really like how the gyro is grilled and crispy. The meat pie is served hot and has just the right curried spices. Very delicious. Six months ago I would have given them 4 stars. I know this may be petty, but I don't like bottled or canned soda and they got rid of their fountain drinks. Since I only have soda in the middle of the day, I would rather go someplace where they have it. If they change that I would certainly give them more stars.

Having just relocated to the area fron Los Angeles I have been looking for an amazing Mediterranean restaurant. Well I don't have to look any farther. This place is absolutely amazing. The food is always fresh and made to order. The owner is such a friendly guy who takes pride in his work. I have been here 4 or 5 times and they just added a nice little patio out front and it totally makes the place. I have not tried everything on the menu but what I have tried it is amazing.

Great food, one of bet places to eat in apollo beach. Gyro is amazing and they have gluten-free pitas too!

I ordered the Falafel Pita Sandwich with chicken, which also came with fries. I don't have much experience with Mediterranean food, but I liked it. The boyfriend thought it lacked flavor and was missing something, whereas I thought it very flavorful. He also felt that the yogurt sauce was overpowering, but I thought it added to the flavor. Decor seemed a bit tacky to me, but that doesn't stop me if the food is good. Service was fine. One gripe I had was that the added chicken was an extra $2 instead of $1 as advertised on their website. I also gave their Mango smoothie a try, but did not care for it at all. I took a few sips and didn't want to finish it as it had a weird taste to it and it left an aftertaste that lingered. My boyfriend thinks the taste was due to fake sugar being used, but either way I'm never ordering a smoothie from there again.

I really don't understand all the 5 star reviews. Maybe the bar is set lower in Apollo Beach. We moved to Riverview last year and have been trying all the local spots. I was excited to try this place, based on other reviews. It was mediocre at best. I am a real lover of falafel, and theirs was OK, but not earth shattering. I really love babganoush, and their had a strange tang - like it may have turned. It is mostly a take-out place - a few tables for eat ins. Everyone was very friendly and food was made to order. I would not go out of my way to come back, but might try it again if I am nearby and need a quick bite.

So excited we now have this place in Apollo beach. I've eaten a lot of falafel in my days, and this is one of the best I've had. Everything is extremely fresh, very well spiced (tabbouleh is one of those that I'm often "eh" about. This was delicious and fresh. Even "just" the rice was flavored beautifully.) I hope they stay on the right track and people continue to support this new establishment!

The Med is like the US in the sense that Popeye's, KFC and Church's all do chicken but each has a distinct taste. So it is with food from Turkey, Morocco and Greece. The array of spices and sauces, the presentation and the culture all uniquely influence the taste of the food and the dining experience. I know that the gyro in Greece tastes differently than the shawarmas in Bahrain and Turkey. For that matter, the souvlaki from Athens tasted differently from the souvlaki I ate on the Island of Crete, smile. I applaud Khalid for greatly enhancing the Dining scene in the Riverview, Ruskin & Apollo Beach area! He is definitely the "it factor" and his passion for food and people is inviting and obvious. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit and will return often for more authentic cuisine. Thanks Khalid for sharing the Mediterranean diet and its myriad contributions to longevity. So glad we have this restaurant in Apollo Beach! Everything I've tried has been delicious, and the service is quick and friendly. I am especially fond of their rice. Not sure how they spice it, but it's wonderful.

Pita Kebob is a very promising addition to Apollo Beach food variety. We saw the signs and stopped in. It turned out to be the first day of a soft opening. They told us they would have a grand opening mid January. We tried Kofta and shawarma pita sandwiches and tabouli salad. The sandwiches came with seasoned fries. We were impressed with the tastes and spices. We noticed the gyro on a spit and will try that next time.

Amazing Middle Eastern Food! Extremely Delicious! Great value! One of my favorites! Best in the area! Try the platters!

The food was great. Both my fiance enjoyed it and will return as its hard to find Middle Eastern food in Apollo Beach. During my visit, the manager seemed stressed and a bit defensive. He didn't wait for me to finish my sentence about a side salad before telling me I couldn't substitute my fries for it. Had he listened instead of jumping the gun, he would've hear me say a salad was "in addition to" the meal that comes with fries. He has since apologized for this citing that a lot of customers do this. I'd just like to say that while I understand, he needs to give the benefit of the doubt to people because some customers do read the menu thoroughly and come from a service background as I do. He also seemed upset that the check-in incentive from Yelp had not been updated yet, but he did honor the percentage off explaining that he had not had a chance to contact them yet to have it fixed. I appreciate his efforts to apologize and contact me via Yelp so I have edited my review to reflect this.

Excellent flavors and legitimate foods. Very nice in a little strip mall. We had a chicken kabob gyro and an appetizer sampler. You are definitely encouraged to visit this spot.

If you are tired of the lack of variety in the SouthShore area, you need to give Pita Kebob a try. The food is simply delicious. I have dined in at the restaurant many times (too many) and have had the good fortune of attending a couple of events where Khalid and his team catered the food.

After reading all the glowing reports of a Gyro place with so many 5 stars I had to make the 35 drive to try it. My wife and i ordered 2 Gyro platters and 2 Baklava and was really shocked at what people were bragging about. The meat of the Gyros were extremely dry and thus tasteless, and the fries were way overcooked, totally deprived of moisture (almost burnt). Not to be outdone the baklava was dry, honey less and they seemed to have lost the butter in the recipe. The place seemed tired and needs a little attention to cleanliness. I'm not a big fan of the Salem chain but their Gyros are 10 times better. The guy was friendly and the music was nice but we won't be back.

For a hidden-away, counter-service only, tiny Mediterranean restaurant, this place is TOPS. I visited with my Apollo Beach-based daughter and we had the most-wonderful lunch. We are both vegetarians, and I'm on a diet, but the food is so fresh and healthful I felt great even after stuffing myself. We shared an appetizer platter of 2 stuffed grape leaves, 2 falafels, hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Tahini, Taktouka, Tzatziki, and Pita Chips. It was ample for two and every bit was delicious. We had each ordered a falafel pita as well, and wound up bringing them home for dinner. They were very delicious - the bread is absolutely the best I've ever had, and in addition to perfect falafels, the sandwiches were chock-full of lettuce, tomato, sweet red onions, and topped with a lovely yogurt sauce. The French fries were really good, but I wished I'd paid another $1 for tabouli. I noticed that low carb, whole wheat and GLUTEN FREE pitas are available on request. I can't wait to go back before I head home to Atlanta.

This place is fabulous. The owner makes everything by hand right in front of you. Very clean and very friendly. The french fries are outstanding. Freshly cut, fried and sprinkled with sea salt. And the prices are affordable.

Either my wife or I are here about once a week now. Pita Kebob is just that good. Relatively inexpensive, and the early bird family thing is a great deal. They're adding FREE DELIVERY(!!) soon, too! Awesome place with great food.

Very yummy. Went for lunch today and had the shawarma. The pita was excellent and the chicken was perfect. Service was very prompt and the fries were really good. A very happy experience. I can't wait to go back as try their gyro.

Returned 3 days later and had the same meal. Kebob sandwich was a little better and the fries were still unbelievable. I also tried the salad, which was great in itself, though the chips were not a favorite of mine. Favorite restaurant in the Apollo Beach area. Fast, affordable, delicious, and great service!

I wasn't sure what to expect walking up to this place. It is in a strip mall, and they have AstroTurf on the front patio. My wife is very skeptical of places like this, but she decided to give it a try with me. We both ordered kebabs one lamb and one chicken. I lived overseas in college, and would eat authentic kebabs regularly, so I know what to expect. My wife and I shared our meals and she absolutely fell in love with kebabs! Great place and the owner seemed genuine, I would recommend this place all day long!

The food here is very fresh. I like that they have a variety of food like Gyros and cheeseburgers. They also have daily lunch specials from 11-2PM. I will definitely come back here again.

Great food, quick service. If you're looking for a quick lunch and you want something good and a reasonable price, this is the place. I've eaten at this establishment many times and it's consistently good and quick. The French fries are crispy too!

Got take out yesterday and it was hands down the best I've had since moving to Apollo Beach. The Greek salad was on point and so was the mixed grill combo, would definitely recommend Pita Kabob

We stopped by this place after hearing it was good in lieu of getting Chinese, and we weren't disappointed. I had the lamb kebob platter, it was well seasoned and super delicious. They were out of rice so I got salad instead, which is better in my opinion. The hummus was AMAZING. So yummy. My husband had the cheese steak, it was really good as well and I love the rustic fries. The staff was very polite as well. We will be back soon, this is good food at a fair price.

I had been wanting to try this place that opened in Apollo Beach about 10 months ago. Their location is unfortunate, because unless you know it's there, it won't attract much drive-by service. I hope they can do some advertising to get more folks in the door. The owner was super friendly and freshly made our orders promptly. I got the Falafel platter, which came w/ tabouli, rice, pitas, hummus, and of course, the BEST Falafel! My girlfriend got the Seafood pita and also loved the flavor. I will definitely be a regular and encourage others to try if you're in the mood for authentic, homemade Mediterranean.
